The Sobrarbe county (comarca) offers numerous activities linked with the natural and cultural richness of the zone which will certainly increase the interest of your stay.
The lovers of open air sport have a broad choice between walking, alpine climbing, rock climbing, rafting, canyoning, speleology, ski hiking and langlauf, forewheel drive tours, mountain biking, and many others.
From the Sobrarbe you have an easy access to some of the best Pyrenean ski stations. On the french side the stations of Piau-Engaly and Saint-Lary are only about 50 km from Puyarruego. In the aragonese Pyrenees the ski resorts of Cerler in the Benasque valley and Formigal and Panticosa in the Tena valley are also good options.
For those who like cross country skiing the stations of Fanlo and the Pineta valley are excellent choices. Ski hiking is possible in the vicinity of the Ordesa y Monte Perdido national park. You can view more here.
The forests of the Sobrarbe are a real paradise for mushroom lovers. Autumn offers an abundance of species and Casa Campacruz is an excellent starting point for a discovery excursion.
In the Tena Valley, near Piedrafita de Jaca, you can visit the faunistical park of the Pyrenees “La Cunacha”.
